A few months ago, Ashley put together some tips that helped you saved money on Valentine’s Day. This week, with Mother’s Day right around the corner, I’ll be sharing some frugal gift ideas that will help you give appreciation to the woman-of-the-day while staying within your budget.
Picnic Lunch — Gather together the week’s leftovers and pack it up for lunch. Spend a couple hours picnicking at the beach or local park.
Breakfast In Bed — Scramble some eggs, squeeze some fresh orange juice, and top it off with a beautiful flower. Make some breakfast for yourself as well so the two of you can enjoy it in bed together.
Recipe Book — Gather together all of your favorite family recipes, and have them printed into a customized booklet. You can add some family photos to the collection as well.
Frugal Outing — Spend some time looking up local tours, concerts, and museums. Pick an outing that you can spend together without breaking the bank.
Scrapbook — Gather together some of your family photos and place them in a scrapbook. You can also present your mom with a digital scrapbook of your favorite moments.
Coupon Book — Does your mom have some “to dos” around the house she’s been meaning to get done? Make her a homemade booklet of “IOU” coupons that she can cash in whenever she likes.
Free Time — Just spend some quality time with Mom. It won’t cost you a penny, and it gives you the chance to catch up.
